Who we are
Women Cinema EU-LAC is a web platform created with the aim of promoting the role and potential of women in the film industry, as well as strengthening bi-regional cooperation between Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union.
Its goal is to facilitate access to relevant information and resources for women professionals in the audiovisual sector, and to promote female participation in visibility spaces within the audiovisual sector of the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Through an interactive bi-regional map, the platform allows users to locate information by country and region (European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean) on:
- Associations and networks of women in the audiovisual sector
- Training, mentoring, scholarships, and job opportunities
- Funding opportunities (in the audiovisual sector and specifically for women in the field)
- Platforms for women in film festivals
In this way, users can directly contact the entities offering opportunities for employment, training, funding, visibility, and networking.
The information is compiled by a specialized team that conducts ongoing searches of open sources on the internet and continuously validates and updates the content to ensure its relevance and usefulness.
Additionally, the platform is enriched by the collaboration of organizations and individuals who, through a form available on the website, can request the inclusion of their information and activities.
This initiative is developed by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) through its Ibero-American Program on Human Rights, Democracy and Equality, with funding from the European Union External Action Service (EEAS), as part of its bi-regional EULAC Cinema campaign.
